Swing for a Cause at the 23rd Annual Grant County Bank Relay for Life Golf Tournament

Mark your calendar and gather your team for a day of golf with purpose at the 23rd Annual Grant County Bank Relay for Life Golf Tournament. Scheduled for Friday, May 2, 2025, at Valley View Golf Club in Moorefield, WV, this annual event combines friendly competition with a powerful mission–raising funds to support the American Cancer Society and our local Relay for Life chapter.

The tournament will begin at 9:00 AM and wrap up at 2:00 PM, giving teams of four plenty of time to enjoy the course while playing for a good cause. The entry fee is $70 per player, which covers a full round of golf, lunch, and a variety of giveaways and prizes throughout the day.

Beyond the friendly competition, there are extra chances to win big. The top three teams will take home cash prizes, and additional contests for Longest Drive, Straightest Drive, and Closest to the Pin will give individual players a chance to show off their skills. For the ultimate challenge, a $10,000 cash prize will be awarded to any player who hits a hole-in-one on a designated hole.

While enjoying the day with friends, family, or coworkers, you’ll also be making a real difference in the fight against cancer. All proceeds from the tournament will directly support the Grant County Relay for Life chapter, helping to fund cancer research, patient services, and advocacy programs that benefit individuals and families affected by cancer in our community.

For those who would like to go beyond participating in the tournament, additional donations are always welcome and can be made directly with the website link to follow. Every contribution helps fuel progress in the fight against cancer.

The support of local businesses also plays a key role in making this event a success. Grant County Bank is actively seeking event sponsors and silent auction donors to partner with us. Sponsoring the tournament is a great way for businesses to gain local visibility while showing their support for a cause that touches so many lives. Sponsors will be recognized both during the tournament and in event promotions before and after the event.

Official registration is now open, and all registrations must be received by Friday, April 25. Whether you’re playing, sponsoring, donating, or all of the above, your participation helps us come together as a community to drive progress in the fight against cancer.
