Local High School Senior Wins George B. Moomau Scholarship

Grant County Bank is pleased to announce the presentation of their $1,000 George B. Moomau Scholarship to local high school senior, Tatum Faith Humphrey. 

Tatum is a 2023 graduate of Petersburg High School in Grant County, West Virginia. She received her scholarship from Grant County Bank representatives during the Petersburg High School’s recent Scholarship Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, May 17, 2023. Tatum plans to attend Fairmont State University to study nursing in the fall.

Grant County Bank’s George B. Moomau Scholarship is dedicated to the memory of long-time Grant County Bank President, George B. Moomau and his wife, Lura “Becky” Moomau, an esteemed teacher and tennis coach who played a pivotal role in the Grant County School system for many years.

Each year, Grant County Bank awards this scholarship to a Petersburg High School senior who is continuing their education through college or a technical school. Grant County Bank is honored to continually support local high school students who are seeking to further their education.
